ALL ABOUT SE MUSIC SERVICES

Okay - what does 'SE' stand for - here it is - brace yourself! - 'Self Employed'.

My name is Corky McClellan and I started SE Music Services to accommodate my offerings as a teacher and performer in music.

I started playing music somewhere around age 3 to 5. When I was young enough to stand on the console of a 1967 Fastback Barracuda - I loved songs that would come on the radio like 'Lean On Me' and 'Joy To The World', I would take naps listening to The Beatles or the Jackson 5. Mom always had some Tom Jones going and dad loved Chicago. After playing professionally with local bands from age 13 and finishing high school in the percussion program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, I moved to Los Angeles at age eighteen. Three months into attending the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood - I wanted to see what an LA audition was like and ended up getting the gig as the drummer for the band that would become Atlantic Recording Artist - Baton Rouge.

After US tours, MTV videos and what seemed like a lifetime of fun...the music landscape changed. I ended up right back where I started in beautiful North Carolina where I stay very busy spending time with my family, teaching and playing with local artists. I currently perform with The Plaids, The Vagabond Saints Society, Chelsea Sorrell & Runaway Train many others from time to time. It's a ton of fun to play music with such a huge group of extremely kind and talented people!

I have taught 100's and 100's of people young and old and everywhere in between and helped them to enjoy and achieve music more and more. I hope you will allow me to help in your musical ventures.
